OnlineOCR Chrome Extension

OnlineOCR for Chrome brings the same OCR service as onlineocr.org into your browser: upload a file, capture the visible tab, or select a region on the page—then get recognized text using your account and credits.

What you can do

How it works

Sign in or register—or use an existing session if you are already logged in on onlineocr.org.

Pick file, visible tab, or region, then start recognition.

Wait for processing; open the result from the popup or follow the link to your dashboard if your balance uses the “open on site” flow.

Account & credits

Your email, credits, and history are the same as on the website. You need an OnlineOCR account to run jobs. Pricing and credit costs follow the site’s current settings.

Privacy & permissions

Content you submit is sent to OnlineOCR servers for processing, as when you use the site. The extension requests minimal host access by default (only onlineocr.org). Broader site access is optional and used solely for region capture when you enable it. Read the details in our Privacy Policy.

Chrome Web Store: When the extension is published in the Chrome Web Store, we will add the official install link here. Until then you can install from the unpacked ZIP for testing.
